RE: PLAN REVIEW COMMENTS FOR PLAN CHECK # 2008-0824
SFR REMODEL 7429 N. MEADOWDALE ROAD
Dear Mr. Baxter:
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division. Before I can
sign off on the permit, however, the following information needs to be clarified:
1. Reduced Site Plan: Please provide a reduced -size copy of the site plan (11" x 17" or
less).
2. Critical Areas Checklist: A CA checklist has not been completed for this parcel. If
there is to be any new ground disturbance outside of the existing developed footprint on
the parcel as part of this project, a checklist will be required. While it appears that the
existing footers are to be reused, please confirm any anticipated exterior ground
disturbance.
3. _Accessory Dwelling Unit Statement: Please complete and submit a signed and
notarized Accessory Dwelling Unit Statement (attached). Since the lower level has its
own kitchen facilities, it is possible that the lower level could function as an accessory
dwelling unit separate from the upper level. While it does not appear that the lower
level is in fact functioning as an accessory dwelling unit at this time, recording such a
statement puts future homeowners on notice that converting the space to an accessory
dwelling unit requires a permit with the City as described in Chapter 20.21 of the
Edmonds Community Development Code.
Please make all submittals to a Development Services Permit Coordinator, Monday through
Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, except on Wednesdays when we are closed for permit review. If
