POLE SIGN AT HARVEY'S (21116 HIGHWAY 99)
Dear Jim:
I received a request to perform a final inspection for the Planning Division at the above site.
While the sign itself was fine, the landscaping at the base had not yet been installed. As a result,
I cannot sign off on the final inspection.
With the weather turning, it should be possible to safely do the landscaping installation now, At
the same time, the permit doesn't expire until June 6, 2009, so you could wait another few
months until the weather fully cooperates. On the other hand, you could provide a performance
bond for the landscaping work. Performance bonds are for 100% of the cost of the work ($1,000
based on your estimate) which is reduced to a 15% maintenance bond ($150) after the work is
completed. After two years, the maintenance bond is returned if a final inspection finds the
landscaping is in good health.
