PETERSON/MONTALVO DECK AND STAIRS AT 9323 OLYMPIC VIEW DR.
Dear Mr. Mock:
I have reviewed your revision dated July 22, 2009 for the above building permit application for
the Planning Division, and it was found that the following information, corrections, or
clarifications will need to be addressed before review can continue:
Deck Details:
1.It appears that the revision is only to move the location of the deck six feet
to the west from its initial location and that the height, dimensions, etc. of the deck will not
be changing from the initial proposal. Please confirm if this is correct.
Geotechnical Report:
2.The geotechnical report submitted with the initial application stated
that the deck would be located 16 feet from the top of the steep slope. Since the revision is
to move the deck closer to the top of the slope than the 16 feet that was addressed in the
geotechnical report, an addendum to the report is required to address the new deck location.
Please have your geotechnical engineer provide an addendum to the initial report that
addresses the revised deck location, provides a minimum distance the deck must be from
the top of the slope, and provides any necessary recommendations to show compliance
with the applicable sections of the critical areas code (ECDC 23.40 and 23.80).
Please make all submittals to a Development Services Permit Coordinator, Monday through
