During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator.
1.A min. 50 CFM fan will be required in the newly created ½ bath:
a.Show fan on plans
b.Identify the location of the vent termination
2.There is a proposed washer and dryer:
a.Show dryer vent termination (probably roof-top or ventless)
b. Indicate clothes washer plumbing box location for indirect drain, size and location
of drain and venting
3.Water closet and lavatory in new ½ bath:
a.Indicate plumbing vent location and size
b.Indicate lavatory drain size, location, and vent. A basic plumbing plan to show how
the plumbing vents and drains tie together, vents, and drains.
4.Provide membrane penetration firestop systems (firecaulk) for membrane penetrations through
the common wall or rated floor/ceiling assembly.
5.Because penetrations will be made to the exterior of the building (vent and exhaust terminations
through the roof), a letter from the Home Owners Association approving the remodel is required
prior to issuance of permit.
