WISHING STONE SIGN LOCATED AT 317 MAIN STREET
Dear Ms. Neimi:
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division, and it was
found that the following information, corrections, or clarifications will need to be addressed
before review can continue:
Sign Area:
1.The maximum allowed total sign area for the business space is one square foot
per lineal foot of tenant space. Your plans state that the business space is 178.75 lineal
inches, which is equivalent to 14.89 feet. Thus, the total allowed sign area for the business
space is 14.89 square feet. The existing projecting sign is stated on your plans as being 17
inches by 19 inches, which is equivalent to 2.24 square feet. In order to comply with the
maximum allowed sign area for the business space, please show that the proposed wall-
mounted sign is less than 12.65 square feet in size (14.89 square feet of total allowed area
minus 2.24 square feet of existing sign area). When updating your calculations for the size
of the proposed sign, please add in the letter “i” from “wishing,” as it was left out of the
original calculations. Additionally, please show the lengths of each letter on the diagram.
Illumination:
2.Please indicate whether or not the sign will be illuminated. If the sign will
be externally illuminated, please provide a description of the proposed illumination.
Please make all submittals to a Development Services Permit Coordinator, Monday through
