Please provide written responses as to where the changes can be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator. 1.Provide a deck plan including the following: a.Identify all structural wood size, grade, species, and pressure preservative treated or naturally decay resistant. b.Written dimensions c.Footing size and locations d.Beam size and locations e.Call out ledger material and attachment, bolt or lag screw type and size. f.Guard construction and connection details g.Detail beam to post connections. Bolting beams to the sides of posts is only allowed with engineering calculations h.Handrail materials, location, and connections. 2.Provide landing at bottom of stairs. What type of material and size. 3.All wood members subject to wind blown rain (columns, deck, guard, braces) will be required to be PT or naturally decay resistant. 4.Provide ledger flashing details. 5.Include note on plans that all fasteners and hardware in contact with pressure preservative treated wood is to be hot dipped galvanized or stainless steel. 6.Minimum footing depth is 12” below grade. 7.Indicate location of light nearest the landing at the top of the stairs. 8.Indicate the method of lateral force resistance.
