During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator.
1.Provide the product data for the exhaust fan and ductwork (size) to be used in the parking
garage.
2.The buildings have assumed property lines between them. Environmental duct terminations are
required to be a minimum of 3 from those lines (M501.2.1)
3.The fire stairs are a vertical exit enclosure (IBC 1020.1) and the ceiling of that enclosure is fire
resistive rated horizontal assembly that is required to comply with IBC Sections 711 and
716.6.2. Ducts that penetrate the ceiling membrane shall be protected with one of the following:
a.A shaft enclosure in accordance with Section 707.
b.A listed ceiling radiation damper (IBC 716.6.2.1) installed at the ceiling line.
4.Show dryer duct sizing and termination locations.
5.Is the gas piping to extend to the outdoor BBQs? Provide BTU ratings for the proposed BBQs
and calculations for the gas pipe sizing for the proposed appliances.
