Before I can sign off on the permit, however, the following information needs to be clarified in a written response: Critical Areas: A portion of the proposed fence is to be installed within an identified critical area pursuant to Edmonds Community Development Code (ECDC) Chapter 23.40; specifically, some of the fencing will be located within areas of steep slopes which are classified as erosion and landslide hazard areas. As a result, please provide a geotechnical report describing the proposed work and how it meets the requirements found in ECDC 23.40 and 23.80, including the development standards found in ECDC 23.80.060 and 23.80.070.
