Inspection Correction Notice.pdf CITY OF EDMONDS CORRECTION NOTICE ENGINEERING DIVISION (425) 771-0220 City Website: www.edmondswa.gov January 5, 2015BLN20150239 DATE:PERMIT NUMBER: Mark Lowen OWNER:SITE CONTACT: 9303 Olympic View Dr. ADDRESS: Driveway Formwork Inspection TYPE OF INSPECTION: WORK DESCRIBED BELOW HAS BEEN INSPECTED AND APPROVED APPROVED PLANS AND PERMIT JOB CARD MUST BE AVAILABLE TO INSPECTOR ON SITE CORRECTIONS LISTED BELOW MUST BE MADE BEFORE WORK CAN BE APPROVED AND/OR THE NEXT PHASEOF WORK IS STARTED. RECALL FOR INSPECTION REINSPECTION FEE MUST BE PAID PRIOR TO NEXT INSPECTION REQUEST. STOP WORK UNTIL AUTHORIZED TO CONTINUE BY CITY INSPECTOR Upon inspection it was found that both private driveways (side and main driveways) had been constructed prior to a Driveway Formwork inspection. Per the approved plans, sheet A1.1some of the driveway was to be constructed as pervious with the use of pavers. Though as the city was not called out to verify the base materials used in order for the pavers to be accepted as perviousthey cannot be accepted as a pervious system. Fortunately perthe calculations provided for stormwater mitigationit appears thatboth driveways as shown on theapproved planswere designed to be mitigated. Unfortunately the main driveway was constructed larger than the approved plans increasing the impervious surfaces. Atthis time the additional impervious surfaces installed at the north and southeast side of the main driveway will need to be accounted forandmitigatedor removed. 1.Please submitarevisedsite plan showing the additional impervious surfaces installed at the driveway as well as any other additional impervious surfaces installed at the site. 2.Please providea revisionto the stormwater report with updates to theimpervious surface numbers accounting for the additional impervious surfaces installed at the main driveway and show how the new impervious surfaces are to be mitigated. 3.Items 1 and 2 above are to be completed or reduce the impervious surfaces on site to match the approved mitigation system designed for 5679sf. 4.The side driveway (most eastern driveway) will need to be corrected such that the slope does not exceed the city’s required maximum14% slope or a driveway slope waver will need to be applied for and obtained.
