EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION
CONTROL BEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICES
The State, and local governmental agencies, require prevention, control and/or
treatment of stormwater in order to prevent impacts to water bodies or
adjoining properties. Sediment is considered a pollutant under state and local
low, and must be prevented from entering water bodies. The silt fence,
triangular silt dike, inlet drain protection and ground cover details included in
this, guideline are intended to help ensure that no sediment from a District
project causes pollution in local waters. These were developed from the
Sto a of Washington Department of Ecology Stormwater Management Manual
and various State and local governmental agency manuals and standards
documents. For further detail or questions, contact the Project Engineer for
the JJob being worked or the District's Environmental Affairs Department
at (425) 783-4441.
