Dear Mr, Chandler,
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division. Before I can
sign off on the permit, however, the following information needs to be clarified:
1. Please submit a reduced -size copy of the site plan.
2. Rockeries in Setback Areas: To the rockery note on the site plan, please revise to say
"New rockwalls within setbacks max 3' high above original rade". Otherwise, please
confirm the height of both rockeries located in the setback areas and indicate the top
and toe elevations relative to original grade at 10' intervals on the site plan.
3. Height Calculations: Please verify the elevation of each corner of the height rectangle
used to calculate the average and maximum elevations. Specifically, Points A and D
seem to be closer to 368' based on the original contour lines shown. Please update the
average and maximum calculations, as applicable. Also, show the lines of average,
maximum and proposed elevations on Sheet Al.
4. Patio in Southern Setback: Please accurately show the proposed south patio on the
site plan. Patios may only encroach a required setback 4' or 1I3 of the setback distance,
whichever is less. The south patio indicated on Sheet A4 would appear to exceed the
requirement.
Please submit three copies of your updated site plan and two sets of any updated sheets of the
building plans. Please make all submittals to a Permit Coordinator, Monday through Friday, 8:00
