FENCE VIOLATION AT 7931 CYRUS PLACE
Dear Mr. Ahmad,
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division. Before I can
sign off on the permit, however, the following information needs to be clarified in a written
response:
1. Critical Areas: As you know, the concrete fence is located at the top of a steep slope
which has been identified as a critical area. As we had discussed on several occasions,
you will need to contact a geotechnical engineer to obtain a report describing the
impact of the fence on the slope below. This geotechnical report must address how the
fence meets the requirements found in ECDC 23.40 and 23.80, including the
development standards found in ECDC 23.80.060 and 23.80.070.
Because this fence was installed without a permit and we are trying to resolve the situation,
please submit the geotechnical report to a Development Services Permit Coordinator by Friday,
February 12, 2010. We are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. If you have any
