Dear Mr. McCormick,
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division. Before I can
sign off on the permit, however, the following information needs to be clarified:
1. Structural lot coverage: Please include structural lot coverage calculations to include
only the residence, covered porch and southern deck. According to ECDC 21.15.110,
"[c]overage means the total ground coverage of all buildings or structures on a site
measured from the outside of external walls or supporting members or from a point two
and one-half feet in from the outside edge of a cantilevered roof, whichever covers the
greatest area. "
2. Grading: Please indicate the amount of grading (both cut and fill) to be done with the
building permit.
3. Datum point: The datum point is called out on the site plan as `existing monument'.
Please indicate what the monument is — manhole, catch basin rim, etc.
4. Full size site plan: With your resubmittal, please include two copies of the scaled full-
size site plan.
Please submit three copies of your updated site plan and two sets of any updated sheets of the
building plans. Please make all submittals to a Permit Coordinator, Monday through Friday, 8:00
