Before I can sign off on the permit, however, the following information needs to be clarified: Number of Signs: Only three signs are allowed per site according to ECDC 20.60.025. Please revise plan sheets P1.10 ' 1.10, P2.00, P4.00 and P4.01 to indicate the locations of the three signs selected. As I understand it, one "Everyday Joe" sign is to be applied to each of the awnings and there will be one other vinyl "Espresso" sign elsewhere on the structure. Please confirm. 2. Sign Area: The maximum sign area is one square foot of sign area for each lineal foot of wall containing the main public entrance to the structure. In this case, the public entrances are the drive-thru windows. On sheet P1.10, the length of the drive-thru windows on the north and south sides of the building totals approximately 19.67 feet (9.90' plus 9.77', respectively). Please confirm that the total area of the three signs is a maximum of 19.67 square feet. 3. Design Standards: There are specific design standards for signs in the Firdale Village Mixed Use (FVMU) zone. Please refer to Section 22.100.030 ECDC for further details and describe how your proposal meets the design intent and standards for the zone. All referenced code sections are available through the City's website at: http://www.mrsc.org/mc/edmonds/Edmondsnt.html. You may redline your existing plans or submit three copies of your updated site plan (one reduced size) and two sets of any updated pages of the building plans.
