During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator.
1.Engineer of record:
a.Stamp and sign structural sheets.
b.Provide retaining wall calculations.
2.Architect of record: stamp and sign all plan sheets prepared by an architect-RCW 18.43.070,
RCW 18.96.150, and RCW 18.08.370(2) as interpreted by AGO 1990 No.9.
3.Indicate the use of the proposed former garage, e.g. shop, bedroom, etc. Is any other work
proposed to the former garage location other than the infill of the garage door locations?
4.Provide a construction detail for the infill framing and foundation curb at the proposed garage
door to window conversion area.
5.The new garage ceiling will be required to be separated from the habitable space above with
5/8 type X gypsum wall and ½ GWB on the supporting walls. The GWB is a requirement for
the separation of the garage and the living space per R309.2.
6.Footing drains will be required to have filter fabric around the drain rock to prevent sediment
from infiltrating and plugging the drain. Indicate filter fabric on the details.
