While it appears that the updated sign proposal will meet the intent of the sign package and satisfy most of the code requirements in ECDC 20.60, one outstanding issue remains unresolved: 1. Sign Area. Per ECDC 20.60.030.A, the maximum area for wall signs in the CG zone is one (1) square foot per lineal foot of attached wall. The submittal shows the tenant space as being 26 feet wide but the proposed sign as being 30 square feet. If the sign is an individual letter sign, the area of each letter can be calculated separately and summed to give a total area for the sign. If it is not individual letter, the sign must be decreased 4 square feet in order to meet the area requirement. Please revise the proposed signage to ensure compliance with the sign package for the site and make all submittals to a Development Services Permit Coordinator, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
