Dear Mr. and Mrs. Billings:
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division, and it was
found that the following information, corrections, or clarifications will need to be addressed
before review can continue:
Height Calculations
1.: Please make the following corrections regarding your height
calculations:
a.It is unclear what was used as the datum point for your height calculations. Your plans
indicate a sewer lid at 80’1”; however, based on the topography of the area, it is unclear
if this elevation is correct when compared to the elevations of the property itself.
Please confirm what was utilized as the datum point and provide its elevation. A water
meter is indicated on the plans, which would be an acceptable datum point if you
indicate the elevation for it.
b.Provide height calculations on your site plan. These calculations should indicate the
average grade, maximum allowed height, and proposed height.
c.The elevation views on your building plans indicate the finished floor elevation, and
ridge elevation; however, they do not indicate the average grade and maximum allowed
height. Thus, please add the elevations of the average grade and maximum allowed
height to your building elevation views.
The above items may be redlined on your plans. If you are submitting revised plan sheets, please
provide two copies of all large documents (over 11” by 17”) and one copy of any reduced
documents (11” by 17” or smaller). All submittals should be made to a Development Services
Permit Coordinator, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. If you have any
