Dear John,
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division. Before I can sign
off on the permit, however, the following information needs to be clarified in a written response:
1. Site lan: Please submit either a survey or a true and accurate site plan showing identified
setback distances from all property lines to the proposed shelter.
2. Dumpster screening: Please refer to Handout E37
(http://www.ci.edmonds.wa.us/Public_ Handouts/Engineering/E37-
Garbage _Recycle_Collection_ Enclosure_Access_Policy.pdo and identify the screening
selected for the three dumpsters.
Structural lot coverage: Please identify the size of the subject parcel as well as the
existing and proposed structural lot coverage. Coverage means "the total ground coverage
of all buildings or structures on a site measured from the outside of external walls or
supporting members or from a point two and one-half feet in from the outside edge of a
cantilevered roof, whichever covers the greatest area." The maximum coverage for the
RM-1.5 zone is 45%.
4. Design review: Design review of the proposed structure can be completed by staff with
the building permit. Please submit a rendering of the proposed structure or color and
material samples/pictures including those for the roof.
Please submit three copies of your updated site plan (one reduced size) and two sets of any
updated sheets of the building plans. Please make all submittals to a Permit Coordinator,
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. If you have any questions, please contact me at
