Dear Heath,
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division. Before I can sign
off on the permit, however, the following information needs to be clarified in a written response:
1. >Eiei ht: The proposed rooftop mechanical equipment appears to exceed the maximum
height for the zone. The BN zone has a maximum height of 25' while the proposed
mechanical is 26.2' (building is 20.5' at the parapet plus 5.7' of proposed mechanical).
Unfortunately, the Edmonds Community Development Code does not provide exceptions
for such roof -mounted equipment.
Please refer to the attached building and mechanical elevations and show how the proposed
equipment satisfies the height requirement. Otherwise, please redesign or relocate the
system to ensure compliance with the 25' maximum height.
Please submit two sets of any updated sheets of the building plans. Please make all submittals to
a Permit Coordinator, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. If you have any questions,
