Before I can sign off on the permit, however, the following information needs to be clarified in a written response: 1. Total Sign Area: The three proposed signs total 206.395 square which is in excess of the 178 square feet allowed by the code for this building (ECDC 20.60.025.A.2). Please revise the sign sizes in order to comply with the maximum total sign area. 2. Pole Sign Setback Encroachment: As proposed, a 3' portion of the cabinet on top of the pole is shown encroaching into the required 4' street setback along Highway 99. Please revise the size or location of the sign so that all of the sign is outside of the required setback. 3. Time of Illumination: According to ECDC 20.60.020.II, no commercial sign shall be illuminated after 11:00 pm, except that signage may remain lit as long as the business is open. Please indicate that there is a manual switch or timer designed within the signage in order to comply with this requirement.
