ADDITION/REMODEL AT 9207 OLYMPIC VIEW DRIVE
Dear Mr. Gorsuch,
I have again reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division. Before I
can sign off on the permit the following information needs to be clarified in a written response:
1. Height calculations: Please include the lines of average grade, proposed, and
maximum allowed heights on the north elevation drawing (Sheet 2).
2. Geotech report and site plan: On the Plot Plan, please show the buffer and setback
lines recommended by Dennis Bruce in his geotech report dated July 29, 2011. On
page 9, he mentions under the first bullet point using 25' from the top of the slope but
then talks about a "City of Edmonds requirement for a forty foot (40') setback." There
is no specific requirement in this case but rather whatever the recommendation is of
the licensed geotechnical engineer. If it is 25' from the top of the slope, indicate a 10'
buffer and 15' building setback line on the site plan. If 40' is selected, show a 25'
buffer and 15' building setback line.

Please submit three copies of your updated site plan (one being reduced size of 11 x17 or
smaller) and two sets of any updated sheets of the building plans. Please make all
submittals to a Permit Coordinator, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. If you
