Dear Mr. Bannister,
I have again reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division. Before I
can sign off on the permit, however, the following information needs to be clarified in a written
response:
Height calculations: Thank you for submitting updated height calculations. I am
confused by some of the numbers listed, however, and cannot determine which
heights are appropriate to the project. For example, on the site plan, the 'actual top
of new entry roof is listed as 127.76' while the top of carport/deck roof is 112.93'.
Looking at the associated renderings, this doesn't seem reasonable. To clarify this,
please submit an elevation drawing prepared consistent with the Height Calculation
handout (Handout B41) to replace the elevation drawing on Sheet 2. Include the
existing house and indicate lines average, maximum allowed, and actual elevation to
the top of the entry roof which appears to be the tallest structure in this project. Also,
on the site plan, please move height corner "D" slightly to the southwest to form the
smallest rectangle and indicate the location and elevation of the selected datum.

Please submit three copies of your updated site plan (one being reduced size of 11 x17 or
smaller) and two sets of any updated sheets of the building plans. Please make all
submittals to a Permit Coordinator, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. If you
