Dear Mr. Freeman:
I have reviewed your resubmittal dated October 25, 2012 for the above building permit
application for the Planning Division, and it was found that the following information,
corrections, or clarifications will need to be addressed before review can continue:
1.Height Calculations: My September 20, 2012 comment letter requested that you indicate
the datum point on your site plan. It was noted that a point near the northeastern corner of
the residence is labeled with “DP 215”; however, there is no indication of what this point
is. Additionally, the elevation specified is not consistent with the elevations indicated by
the topography lines. A datum point must be a fixed object, usually found within the right-
of-way, that will not move with the proposed construction. Typical items utilized for
datum points include manhole covers, water meter lids, tops of fire hydrants, etc. The
datum point utilized for your proposal must be within view of the proposed carport. Please
provide an acceptable datum point, and indicate what it is, its location, and its elevation on
the site plan.
Please submit three copies of your revised site plan (including a reduced 8.5” by 11” copy) and
two copies of all revised building plan sheets to a Development Services Permit Coordinator,
Monday through Friday, between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm.
