Included are a new set of plans and specifications for the Monson project. Please note the following
answers/explainations per comments in your letter dated May 14, 2019:
1. " The Structural calcalations provided are faded and dfficult to conduct a proper review. Please mokÊ
corrections, so that information provided is legible and readable.
New Copies are included with resubmittal.
2,On pages 52.1 and 52.IA the scale on plans indicaîe %": I'-0" and I ": I'.0". During review these scales aPpear
to be incorrect. Make cotections and indicate on plans.
Scale changed on plan to "NTS" (Not to Scale)
3. Local exhaust shall be provided in the kitchen and bathroom. Please indicate on the plans, cfm rattng of local exhaustfans
within renavated areas.

Structural Plans Sl.l thru 52.lA:
4. Structural sheef 52.I and 52.tA indicate two methods of construction. On sheet 3 in Calculation paclæt it indicated
that the Beam is noî adequate. Please clarify/provide whst method of construction will be used þr the Beam in the
detailþr Partial roofframing plan @ kitchen. Please indicate this on the plans.
Homeowner has elected not to remove and alter the existing walls and dropped ceiling.I have removed
option on 52.14 for proper clarification to engineering specifrcations, although neither method will be
required since no modification to the existing kitchen structure will be performed.

SStructurat 52.I sîates that at the curb less shower that the existing 2xl0 is to be sistered the entire lengthwith a new
2x10, Structural calculations page 9 indicate that the/loor cutting of existing 2xI0ioists ins nol adequate but
appears that (2) 2x8 joists @ 16' OC is. Please clarify as to which meîhod is to be used. Please indicate lhis on the
plans.
Homeowner has elected not to lower the shower floor, so modification to the existing floor system will not
required.
6. Sheet S2.IA indicates that a clnnnel is to be attached to the beam. I did not see any calculationsþr the channel in
the calcalation paclæt provided. Please provide/clarify calculationsþr the chsnnel.
As mentioned in item 4, homeowner has decided NOT to make any structural modifications to the existing
kitchen walls/ceiling, so clarification is not required.
