Please see the below responses to the correction notice dated April 23,2019 for L8909 Olympic View
Drive, plan check number BLD2019-0304.
Correction #1
The Energy Code notes indicote a locql exhoust fon with window vents will be the meons of "whole house
ventilotion". The plans do not oppear to indicote the locotion, CFM, or hours of operation. Pleose indicate
the locotion of the local exhaust fon, CFM and operation.
Response:
See updated sheet A3 showing the location, CFM and operation of the proposed whole house fan.
Correction #2
The provided window ond door schedules indicate a minimum U volue of .30. The window and door notes
indicate o minimum value of .28. Please clorify and indicote on the plons.

See revised minimum U value of .30 noted on updated sheet 43.

Correction #3
ln accordonce with IRC R302.3, the ADIJ must be sepordted from the existing residence with a minimum
of L hour fire rated construction. Or as indicated on poge 3 of Handout PL provide by the City of
Edmonds, in lieu of the I hour construction interconnected smoke and Co detectors can be instolled in
such a manner thot the actuation of one olqrm will activote the alarms in both primory and accessory
dwellings. Pleqse indicate on the plons which method will unitized on this project.
Response:
The proposed addition will not include an ADU. There will be two kitchens. The property owner is not
requesting the establishment of an Accessory Dwelling Unit.
Correction #4
Section 606.3 of the 20L5 UPC requires on independent water shut off for each unit. pleose indicote on
the plon the locotion of the woter supply shutoff on the plon.
Response:
The proposed addition wlll not include an ADU. The existing single family house will remain one unit.
