Dear Paul,
I have reviewed the May 28 resubmittal for the above building permit application — thanks for
the clarifications. Based on the information received, however, I have one additional concern
that needs to be addressed in a written response:
Increased height of existing south wall: In his response letter dated May 23, Dexter
Taylor indicated that the existing nonconforming south wall will be slightly increased
in height over existing. If true, that could not be permitted because while the lateral
setback encroachment would not increase, the height of the structure within the
setback area would and all new construction must meet current development
standards, including setbacks.
In order to confirm compliance, please submit a revised Sheet 2 indicating a line of
elevation for the roof of the existing structure on the 'Left Elevation' drawing. If the
proposed south wall and roof height falls below the line of existing elevation, the
proposed could be permitted. If the proposed is higher than the existing, that portion
of the south wall will need to be redesigned to show compliance.

Please submit three copies of your updated site plan (one being reduced size of 11 x 17 or
smaller) and two sets of any updated sheets of the building plans. Please make all
submittals to a Permit Coordinator, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (8:00 am to
