W “FACTORY DIRECT TIRES”WALL SIGN,LOCATED AT 22617 76 Dear Mr. Park: I have reviewed the above building permit applicationfor the Planning Division,and it was found that the following information, corrections, or clarifications will need to be addressedbefore review can continue: Site Plan: 1.Please provide a more detailed site plan and indicate the following on the site plan: a.Indicate the location of theproposed sign. b.Indicate the length of the building frontage along the street and the length(s) of any sides of the building containing primary public entrance(s). Indicate the location(s) of such public entrance(s). Sign Location: 2.Pursuant to ECDC 20.60.020.A: “When located on a wall or mansard roof, no sign may extend above the highest point of the wall or roof, or above the eave or drip line of a pitched roof on which it is located.”Your building elevation view shows the proposed sign (particularly the tire) extending abovethe wall. Please shift the sign so that it is located entirely on the building wall and not extending above the top of the wall.Also, indicate on the plans the height of the proposed sign. Total Sign Area: 3.Pursuant to ECDC 20.60.025.A.2: “The maximum total permanent sign area for allowed or permitted uses in the CG zone shall be one square foot of sign area for each lineal foot of building frontage along a public street and/or along a side ofthe building containing the primary public entrance to a maximum of 200 square feet. The allowable sign area shall be computed separately for each qualifying building frontage, and only the sign area derived from that frontage may be oriented along that frontage.” Please provide documentation of the total sign area existing on the site, including signage for all tenants, freestanding signs, wall-mounted signs, etc.Also, as requested in Item #1, provide documentation of the maximum total permitted sign area for this site. Sign Size: 4.Pursuant to ECDC 20.60.030.A, theallowed area of the proposed wall signs is limited to one square foot per lineal foot of attached wall adjacent to the associated tenant space. Indicate the length of the attached wallof the associated tenant spaceand confirm that the proposed sign area does not exceed one square foot per lineal foot of this attached wall. Please submit three copies of your revisedplan sheetsto a Development Services Permit Coordinator.
