Dear Mr. Melchior,
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division. Before I can
sign off on the permit, however, the following information needs to be clarified in a written
response and through the submittal of updated plans:
1. Datum point: On the Site Plan, please identify the datum point used as the basis for
the height calculations. The datum must be a permanent point of reference such as a
survey pin, fire hydrant, manhole, water meter or the like. Indicate its elevation,
whether actual or assumed.
2. Elevations: Please show the lines of average original grade, proposed height, and
maximum allowed height on the front elevation drawing (Sheet A5).
3. Reduced size site plan: Please submit a copy of the site plan at 11" x 17" or smaller.

Please submit three copies of your updated site plan (one being reduced size of 11 x 17 or
smaller) and two sets of any updated sheets of the building plans. Please make all
submittals to a Permit Coordinator, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (8 am to 12
