During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to aPermit Coordinator.
Complete the followingcorrections. For #3, I made a trip on site on 6/9/14 and measured the span of
the beam, and it is approximately 20’, not 18’6”as the revised plan beam calculations indicate.
There is also a “snipe cut”matching the pich of the roof. Engineer of record needs to address the
steel beam with theangle cut with no stiffeners welded in place. For number 1, if there is no
additional square footage, why is thedimension 9’2-1/2”instead of 11’2-1/2”at the nookwall with
the added 3/0x5/0 windows?
1.Provide additional square footage amount for kitchen revision.
2.Either provide architects stamp and signature or remove references to “architect” from plans.
3.Provide revised beam calculations for beam #10 which will be spanning further with the kitchen
revision. Same for footings supporting #10 beam.
4.Engineer of record to address the lateralshear loss for the wall linewith the added 3/0x5/0
windows.
