Dear Mr. Sjong,
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division. Before I can sign
off on the permit, however, the following information needs to be clarified in a written response
and on plans with changes called out:
1. Datum point: On the Plot Plan, you've shown the pavement near the proposed garage as
the datum point for the project. Please switch the datum point to a permanent point of
reference such as a catch basin rim, manhole cover or the like. Update the height
calculations based on the new point on the Plot Plan and building plan sheets.
2. Number of units/bedrooms: Please verify the number of units in the complex and the
number of bedrooms in each unit. Eleven units are shown on the Plot Plan but the
existing information in the City's database indicates 12 units. The number of bedrooms in
each unit will be used to confirm the number of required parking stalls.
3. Elevations: On the building plan sheets, show the lines of "average original grade"
"maximum allowed height", and "actual/proposed height".

Please submit three copies of your updated site plan (one being reduced size of 11 x 17 or
smaller) and two sets of any updated sheets of the building plans. Please make all submittals to
a Permit Coordinator, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (8:00 am to 12:00 pm only
