Dear Randy,
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division. Before I can
sign off on the permit, however, the following information needs to be clarified in a written
response and through submittal of updated plans:
1. Datum point: Please label the datum point used for height calculations on Sheet A-1
and indicate its elevation, whether actual or assumed. The datum must be a
permanent point of reference and will be used for height verification at inspection.
2. Proposed/existing: Label all proposed elements on Sheet A-1 in addition to the garage
— deck, covered walk, covered porch, etc.
3. Lot not yet subdivided: Because the short plat in PLN20130059 has not yet been
completed, the proposed addition/remodel must be evaluated against the original
parcel, not proposed Lot 2 of PLN20130059. On Sheet A-1, call out the setbacks of the
garage and deck to the existing lot lines and calculate the structural lot coverage
against the area of the existing parcel (42,949 sf). The coverage values relative to
proposed Lot 2 can remain but should be labelled as such.

Please submit three copies of your updated site plan and two sets of any updated sheets of
the building plans. Please make all submittals to a Permit Coordinator, Monday through
Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (8:00 am to 12:00 pm on Wednesdays only). If you have any
