Release/Hold Harmless Agreement
The undersigned applicant, his heirs and assigns, in consideration for
the City processing the application agrees to release, indemnify, defend and
hold the City of Edmonds harmless from any and all damages and/or claims for
damages, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from any action
or inaction is based in whole or in part upon false, misleading or incomplete
information furnished by the applicant, his agents or employees.

The undersigned applicant grants his, her or its permission for public
officials and the staff of the City of Edmonds to enter the subject property
for the purpose of inspection and posting attendant to this application.

Please answer all questions
1. What are the physical characteristics, (i.e. topography, shape
of lot, etc.) which create a hardship for you in regard to
development of your property?
1) This residence justifies a two car garage. 2) The Owner's desire to
upgrade the structure to acilitate their needs for additional living space
and to improve the value ratio of neighborhood and lot value/residence,
neighborhood lot value - limited to a second level addition (by lot size).
2. How does your property differ from other property in the same
vicinity?
It has been destroyed by a recent fire. We desire to construct a building
which will bring it up to the neighborhood quality, warranted by the beach
locale value.
3. Will this variance be detrimental to the public or damaging to
other property or improvements in the vicinity?
NO - the intention -is;
improvement of appearance and use (changes from a rental to an Owner/Occupant
residence). The intended construction and design quality will contribute
positively to the neighborhood.
4. What hardships will result to you if the variance is not granted?
Will these hardships have been caused by your own action?
Reconstruction of the burned structure to the highest and best land -use level
is appraised necessary by our consultants, as opposed to copying the original
under designed facility - thus denying a functionally satisfactory home
together with the normal expected fiscal return from his exte sive ms
t ction.
5. Can you make reasonable use of your property without tie vaa6s
Restoring the two bedroom, one bath, one garage residence for use -as -rental
rental property is obviously possible; the plea is for permission to Pxpand to
what appears justified for the site and needed by the Owner as a pprmanent
residence.
