RE: PLAN REVIEW COMMENTS FOR PLAN CHECK # 2014-1213

Dear Todd,
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division. Before I can
sign off on the permit, however, the following information needs to be clarified in a written
response and through submittal of updated plans:
1. Plat yet to be filed: As you know, the Shaw Lane plat has not been approved by the
City Council and therefore not be filed at Snohomish County. Until the plat is filed,
only one building permit for this project can be issued.
2. Scale: The scale on the Site Plan is shown as 1" = 20' but it seems to be a little bit off
compared to the measured distances shown. Please verify and revise as necessary.
3. Covered porch: On the Site Plan, the porch posts must meet the required 25' street
setback for the RS -8 zone. Please revise.
4. Height calculations: The covered porch must also be included in the height
calculations. Please adjust the height rectangle to enclose the porch posts and make
any adjustments necessary to the height calculations and the lines of elevation shown
on Sheet Al.

Please submit three copies of your updated site plan and two sets of any updated sheets of
the building plans. Please make all submittals to a Permit Coordinator, Monday through
Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (8:00 am to 12:00 pm on Wednesdays only). If you have any
