Dear Ms. Clark:
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division. Before I can
sign off, the following information needs to be clarified in a cover letter and through the
submission of updated plans with changes called out:
Clearing/trees: Sheet TP -01 shows the entire lot to be cleared and all trees removed.
This is not allowed according to ECDC 18.45.030.6 since the subject parcel is an
unimproved lot which is capable of being subdivided.
Please revise Sheet TP -01 to show the minimum clearing necessary to complete this
single-family project. Indicate why the creation of the new 334' contour is needed
and why the location of the stockpile cannot be located towards the eastern edge of
the site where most of the development disturbance will be occurring. For retained
trees immediately adjacent to areas of clearing, show the drip lines of each tree. Any
work inside the drip lines must take place in accordance with ECDC 18.45.050.H
subsections (1) — (6).

Please submit three copies of the updated site plan and two sets of any updated sheets of
the building plans. Please make all submittals to a Permit Coordinator, Monday through
