Discrepancies between detail specifications and drawing notes shall be governed by drawing notes; 2. Septic Tank shall meet the minimum County Health Dept. specifications for construction and sized as noted on the drawings. 3. Drain Tile: a. 4" diameter minimum b. Slope: Min..= 210 per 1001 Max. = 6" per 100' c. Open joints: 3/8'1 and covered with asphalt paper d. 6" min. of washed gravel under the and 2" Min of washed gravel over tile. e. Cover: Min. 12" R.Wx. 2411 f. Of _ 0" min. center to center spacing. 4. Gravel: a. Size 1" to 311 washed. b. No gravel within 24" of septic tank or distribution box c. Gravel shall be covered with light untreated paper before backfilling 5• Trench: a. Min —width: 241, with flat bottom b. Grade boards, securely staked to trench bottom, for all open joint tile lines. c. Septic tank and distribution box -:.shall be connected with at least 1 piece of 411 bell tile. d. Distribution box shall have 1 piece of 411 bell the following it, for each line of tile. 6. Line from house shall be kept as high as possible and laid on 2% grade. 7. Paving: Do not place impervious surfacing ovor any part of sewage disposal system. Plant grass and small shrubs only. 8. Tank Cleaning: Check septic; tank at least every two ,years to see if sludge and scum need removing, if solids overflow into trenches the soil will become clogged. Supplemental Specifications Howard Glaizer - Installation at'15931 75th W Edmonds 1. Fill a. Qual i ty. 1. Fill materials shall be from some pit, pre -tested before movement' :and having a maximum perculation rate.of 5 minutes per inch in an undisturbed state. b. Compaction 1. Fill material, upon placing, shall be spread into approximately 8 inch layers and compacted by means of running a cat over the surface. c. 'Drain Field Installation Drain field installation wil-I be made at the time.,a perculation rate of..10 minutes per inch or less is obtained in.the settled, fill. 2. Surface, Preparation 'a. Prior to installation of any fill the top 4 to 6 inc over of existing vegetation and loam shall be stripped and placed over the corrugated metal culvert to,be installed. The stripping -shall also be carried out -over the area to be excavation for foundation. b. The surface soil, to the depth of approximately 4 feet or until clay, shall be bulldozed from the foundation excavation area and placed over ,the drai,nfield area. The remaining s * oil below this which will be of a clay nature shall be removed by means of a clam or dozer bucket installed over the top of the culvert. None of the premeable material at the ground surface shall be placed next-to,the pipe at this time. c. Remaining Fill The remaining fill shall be trucked to the site and deposited on'the north side of the culvert pipe and spread across to the south providing a gentle slope from the house to the west and the existing road. Discussion with the Mayor and City Council will be involved and probably will be clone at a work meeting about the end of the month.
