Introduction: The State Environmental Policy Act of
1971, Chapter 43.21C, RCW, requires all state and local
governmental agencies to consider environmental values
both for their own actions and when licensing private
proposals. The Act also requires that an Environmental
Impact Statement (EIS) be prepared for all major actions
significantly affecting the quality of the environment.
The purpose of this checklist is to help the agencies
involved determine whether or not a proposal is such a
major action.
Please answer the following questions as completely as
you can with the information available to you. Where
explanations of your answers are required, or where you
believe an explanation would be helpful to government
decision makers, include your explanation in the space
provided, or use additional pages. You should include
references to any reports or studies of which you are
aware and which are relevant to the answers you provide.
Complete answers to those questions now will help a
agencies involved undertake the required environmental
review without unnecessary delay.

Dear Sirs,
On August 13, 1979, we expect to start demolition of the white
row housing on 181 W. Dayton. These structures are built on
.a slab base. It would save us money and also the city, if we
used this concrete as part of the fill material for the pro-
posed parking to the east.
If this is acceptable, please advise and we would do the above
according to your directions and any right -away permit that
would be necessary, etc. Also, we would like to give you
our
job site phone number which is 775-5009 and/or our main office
number which is 542-2128 for any problems or concerns that might
arise during construction.
Bill Krueger is our job Superintendant for this project. He
will be on this project most -the time (like a mother -hen).
Ile will be the most knowledgeable person to talk to and should
be the first person to contact.
We are keenly aware of the sensitivity of this location and seek to
minimize problems and make your job easy.
