The Special Inspection firm of will perform special

All ¡ndividusl inspectors to be employod on this project w¡ll bG WABO certified for the type of work they are to
inspect. If inspectìon is for work that is not covered by tho 1VABO categories, or thc inspector is not WABO
certifie{ a detailed resu¡ne of tho inspector and firm must be submitted. The resume must show that the
inspector and ths firm are qúralified by eduoation and o:çerienoe to perbrm the work'and testing required by the
project desþ and specifïcations.
The work shall be ìnspected for conformance with the plans and speoifioations approvod by the City. Revisions
and addenda sheets will not be used for i¡spectioru unless thoy have been approved by the City. Iqspcction
records shall include:
o A daily record to be maintained on site, itemizing the inspections performed. Any nonconforming work
shall be broughtto tl¡e immediate atte¡rtion ofthe conüactor for ¡esolution.r A weekly report shall be submitted to the City; deailing the inspcctions andterting performed, listing
any nonoonforming work and resolution of nonconforming items.¡ A fin¿l report shall be submited to ttre building deparünent prior to the C€rt¡ficate of Occupancy boing
issued. This report will indicate that inspoction and æsting was completcd in conformance with the
appmved plans, specifications and approvcd rcvisions or addend¿. Any urcsolvod discrepanoi$ must
be detailed in the final report.

Contr¡ctor¡
The conüactor shall provide the special inspector or agelrcy adequafe notification ofwork requiring inspection.
The City approvcd plan and specifications must be made av¡ilable, at the jobsito for the use of the spccial
inspector and the City inspector. The conbactor shall maintain all daily inspection reports, on site, for reviow by
all parties.
The special inspection fi¡nctions are considmed to be in addition to tlre normal inspections performed by the City
and the contactor is responsible for contaeting the Cþ to schedule regular inspectiorn. No cons$e shall be
pourcd or other work covered until approval is given by the City inspector.
Bulldinp l)eo¡rtment:
@ shall review any revisions and addenda. The cþ inspector will monitorthe special
inspection ñ¡nctions for compliance with the agr€ement and the approved plans. The City inspector shall be
responsible for approving various stages ofconstruction to be covered and for work to proceed.
Deslqn Prcfession¡ls:
The architect and/or engineer will clearly indicate on the plans and specifications the specific types of special
inspection required and shall include a schedule for inspection and testing. The archiæct and/or engineer will
coordinate theír revision and addenda process in such a way as to ensr¡re tt¡at all required City approvals are
obtained, prior to work shown on the revisions being perfornred in the field.

The project owner, or the archiæct or ongineer acting as the owners agent, shell employ the spccial inspector or
ag€ficy.
ENFORCDMDNT
A failure of the special inspector or firm to perform in keepfury ïvith tlrc requircmenß of the IBC, the approvod
plans and this document, may void this agreement and the Building Official's apprcval of the special inspector.
In such a ca¡rs a new special inspector and/or firm would need to be proposed for approval. A faih¡re of the
dasign andlor construction parties to perform in accordance with this agrccmcnt may r€sult in a STOP }ìIORK
notice being posted on the projec't until nonconforming iterus have been resolved.
