Dear Mr. Ross;
The purpose of this letter is to inform you that you have failed to respond to comments
from the planning department necessary to issue you your sign permits. According to
Building Department records you are in violation of the City of Edmonds Building Code
by erecting a Satellite Dish prior to receiving a permit. In order to gain compliance and
avoid fees of $100.00 per day it is advisable that you respond to the comments and pick
up your permit by October 15, 2000.
Be advised, once civil penalty fines are initiated they cannot be waived, suspended or
reduced by City staff and accrue until all matters are resolved to the satisfaction of the
city.

Enclosed please find an Order to Correct Violation Notice for the satellite dish
installation at the subject site. As indicated in our last letter dated 2/11/00 failure to
submit for the required permit by 2/25/00 would result in the issuance of the Order. A
deadline of March 17, 2000 is hereby established for the submittal of a complete permit
application and permit fees for the satellite dish. Failure to meet this deadline shall result
in the issuance of a Notice of Civil Violation whereby fines of $100.00 per day shall be
assessed until this matter is resolved to the satisfaction of the City.

advised Mr. Tourtellot is no longer with the City and I am the official contact with regard

Dear Mr. Whittaker:
The purpose of this letter is to officially notify you of a violation of the Edmonds Community
Development Code. The violation was specifically concerning the unplermitted installation of a
satellite dish at 22804 — 100th Ave W. in Edmonds. Your violation has been assigned to
enforcement case file numbered BE-99-193.
On January 26, 2000, 1 spoke with you regarding this matter. During our conversation, I
explained that a permit would be required to review the installation of the dish. Atyourrequest,
I faxed information regarding permit fees and submittal requirements.
Unfortunately, I have not heard back regarding your intentions for submittal. As a result, I must
inform you that on February 25, 2000 the City of Edmonds must proceed with enforcement
action. To prevent further enforcement action, please submit the required building permit
application.
