This engineering report presents the results of a geotechnical evaluation
of the propefty at 9940 Water St., Edmonds, WA.

EVALUATION I INSPECTION:
This engineer performed an initial geotechnical evaluation of the property
(Gurnee Construction is building a new single family residence) on September
22,2004.
Initial excavation has revealed localized areas of ground water seepage.
This engineer verified dense native sub -grade soils capable of providing 2,000
p.s.f. bearing capacity.
This engineer recommended that contractor install a low sump at the
western portion of the property.
Additionally, this engineer recommended laying in a rock sub -base
(minimum thickness 4-inches) to provide a better working surface for the
concrete foundation.
This engineer performed daily site inspections to verify that sub -grade
soils were as anticipated. Rock sub -base placement conformed to this eng'ineerjs
recommendation.
