Site visit at 11:15 a.m- on February 41 2005 The purpose of this Visit was to review some welded connections now in place, primarily In the service area. We reviewed the connections of the exterior service entrance. Some variations have been made but they are acceptable, and the total amount of weld originally specified has been met, This area is substanitally different fron the oeiginall documents, as noted in the Special inspectors Report. BY this memo, we are approving the changes made in the field. On the interior space we looked at the catwalk access to the upper floor service area. In this place as well, the weld IS In place somewhat differently than detailed, but more than adequate with a doubling of weld thickness along one edge rather than two.
