Director of Development Services and officially informed us that you have no responsibility in
resolving the existing barn free code violations on this property and that you will anot seek a
remodeling pen -nit (note, the remodeling permit would have potentially resolved the barrier free

Unfortunately AGM did not complete all barrier free work under this permit and allowed
the permit to expire which created an enforcement case.
• Tosco Marketing applied for and obtained, Building Permit #990823 for a parking lot >
overlay. This permit was conditioned to include the outstanding barrier free items from _
permit #980726. Note this permit also expired without all barrier free items complete. z
Enforcement was again initiated. 0
• Tosco Marketing applied for and obtained, Building Permit #200882 for a handicap ramp m
and. walkway to *the restrooms. The ramp to the toilet room was completed but the ramp
to the retail service area did not comply to code. Later it was brought to our -attention that
pop machines, advertisement stands, etc. were placed in the path of travel leading to the
toilet rooms thereby obstructing passage. Enforcement action again was initiated.
• Tosco Marketing applied for and obtained, Building Permit #20020-0867 for a canopy
remodel. Again, the permit was conditioned to require compliance to all outstanding
barrier free improvements but as of this date have not been completed.

It has come to the City's attention that the parking lot at 7601 Lake Ballinger Way has been
' modified (new paving, parking space striping and directional signing) without first obtaining the m Z

Development Code (ECDC) Chapter 18.95.000 which states,'person shall construct, modify, y z

parking for four or more vehicles is provided. Also, compliance to the State Barrier Free Code Mr

proper City, permits and approvals. This work is a violation of Edmonds Community c
Development Code (ECDC) Chapter 18.95.000 which states, "No person shall construct, modify,
and/or expand a parking lot without first obtaining approval from the City Engineer and a _
