It is not the City's intent to cause you undue hardship however, compliance to the codes is

Under this. new arrangement, we have determined that the 5'/,,'. x 15 glulam beam spanning
approximately 16'-8" is adequate to support the tributary dead and snow load to the king post at the z

beam center. We have also determined that the double cripple stud with full height king stud is m rn ,
I adequate to support the beam ends, Refer to the attached calculation that demonstrates this. Both 0

columns that support the new beam bear on an existing concrete basement wall. This wall originally C

supported a single column and now supports the same load in two columns. Since the loading to z y
{ this wall is unchanged and distributes out in the wall to the footing, the existing foundation should be e z
