The following information is being provided per your request and is done so to the 0 {
best of my knowledge of both the building itself and the IBC related sections.. The
subject property at 610 Main Street is having a minor remodel done per the submitted
plans, and the Owners are upgrading handicap accessibility as part of this project as is co

a) The total project cost, at fair market value for labor and materials is $4,905.10 n
j based on the quote provided by QPS for the current scope of work. o.e
b) 20% of that Cost is $981.02.m M
c) The building as it currently stands is compliant in the following manner: both
accesses (the front doors facing Main Street and the rear doors facing the parking area) y z
are both barrier free: level entry from the parking area and low incline ramp from x
sidewalk, no raised thresholds, sufficient width of opening (66" clear). The public hall is C0
level without stairs and of sufficient width(more than 60"). Doors into each business are wn

minimum 36" wide. The bathrooms were constructed as compliant at the time of the --�
buildings original construction (1979) and have not been reduced in any manner. M M
d) The proposed accessible upgrade to be made under this permit is to remove and p

replace the original handicap toilets. with new ones that meet current code. QPS will e to

i perform this work for the Owners at a bid price of $1,088.20. This is 22% of the project

cost.
e) As the proposal notes, the handicap accessible upgrade is more than 20% of the total

The Owner and Applicant, 610 Main St LLC, understands that with each future
improvement of the building, the requirement that at least 20% of the project cost be 1
applied towards handicap accessible upgrades to the building may be applied. It appears

that while the building is compliant in many aspects, what remains to be done include z
