Dear Mr. Lee:
The City is in receipt of MK Property Services letter dated December 28, 2006
explaining the circumstances that prevented you from promptly responding to City
requests for inspection of the gas fired hot water tank at your place of business.
Based on this letter and subsequent confirmation that you were out of the Country for a
period of time during the enforcement action, the City is willing to reduce the
accumulated flnes fivm S3,600.00 to $200.00 which are immedialetv due and pa"ble
to the City. Send payment to the attention of Jeannine Graf, Building Official, check
made payable to the City of Edmonds.
Failure to remit full fines in the amount of $200.00 by January 22, 2007 shall result in
this matter being turned over to the City's collection agency for the recouping of full
fines. And, pursuant to State RCW Law, the collection company collects fines at a rate
of 150% of the amount owed. Furthermore, once an account is turned over to collections
the City has no ability to adjust the fine amount owed.

On September 1, 2006, the City of Edmonds inspected the above referenced store, finding

My client has a very limited comprehension of the English language and did not

their daughter paid them a visit, at which time it was discovered that an inspection was

In light of the above, the honorable intent of the Lee's is obvious. We request that the

extremely timely fashion and there was no mal intent.

Be advised, the person(s) to whom this Notice is issued is being assessed $100.00 per day, or portion
of a day, during which the violation continues. The imposed monetary penalties are immediately
due and payable to the City of Edmonds at 121 5th Avenue North, Edmonds, WA 98020 during
normal City business hours. Fines shall continue to accrue at the rate of $100.00 per day until this
matter is resolved to the satisfaction of the City.

The purpose of this letter is to inform you that you have failed to file an appeal to the
