i to observe the condition of the existing Storage Shed structure at the rear of the Kafe Neo m
building. The following is our report and engineering opinion. We are also presenting, p c
by attachment, plan and calculations for the Storage Shed. m

The existing storage shed structure is wood-framed with rafters supported on a ledger at c
the Kafe Neo building andpost and beam at the outer end. We understand from the

j contractor's verbal report, that the posts are supported by concrete footings as defined on

the original remodel plans. A concrete slab-on-grade has been installed in the storage O -n
I ; area. A partially sheathed stud-wall has been installed between the posts. The infill wall _.
i is anchored by concrete nails to the slab. m rn ,
We have prepared calculations. and a dimensioned structural plan and details for the shed
addition, The infill stud wall panels serve to restrain the outer end of the shed roof from K V)d
excessive lateral displacement. The forces involved are small and the existing structure, ' z
subject to some minor additions which are noted on the plan, satisfactorily performs this �^
restraint function.
