On June 19", CG Engineering performed a site observation of the construction for the

supported on each side by two cripple studs and one full height stud or a single 4x4 post

of tributary floor load,
2. The contractor shall add a 3-6* long 4x8 HF#2 beam centered alop the craw space access

3. Due to Openings in the concrete stem wall below, we reanalyzed the shear wag at this

location to eliminate the holdowns on either side of the bay window. This may be

accomplished I the sheathing on the entire length of wall is nailed with 8d at 3' o.c. at all
panel edges (including above the opening). 3x framing is required where panel edges butt
together. This is not expected vertically since the pier lengths are short and 2A flat blocking
may be used for the horizontal joints. The contractor shall use horizontal and vertical CS16
strap at each comer of the window opening. Install horizontal straps per Detail C on S-1
and install a 6 length of strap vertically to the full height studs centered at the header. Use
Simpson HTT holdowns at each end of the 12'-6" perforated shear wall. These shall be
anchored Into the concrete with Sffr diameter rods embed 6" minimum with HIM HIT HY 150
epoxy or equivalent (wedge anchors are not sufficient for these holdowns).
4. Double 2x studs are required at all holdowns
