During review of the subject submittal it was found that the following information, corrections, or
clarifications will need to be addressed:
1.Curb and gutter is required to be installed as a condition of the development project. The original plans were
approved with curb and gutter and the recent revision has replaced that requirement with extruded curb.
Please revise back to curb and gutter, per City of Edmonds standard detail E2.8 (c/g detail) and E2.12
(asphalt walkway detail).
2.As shown in the submitted drawings, a Type 1 CB at the south end of the project has already been installed
and a curb inlet is proposed to capture the runoff in the gutter flow line. As proposed, the curb inlet cannot
be installed. It is too close to the Type 1 CB previously installed and does not allow enough room between

basins for proper installation and mudding. Curb inlet #1 can be eliminated if flows heading north on 73
Ave W will not pond in the area of the new ramp and will continue north to the CB proposed towards the

intersection of 73 Ave W & 182 St SW. In order to accomplish this, you may be required to install an

asphalt berm along the west edge of pavement on 73 Ave W. Show how this will be accomplished on the
plans.

3.Please provide bottom of curb elevations near the intersection of 73 Ave W & 182 St SW. In reviewing
the topo spot shots on the plan the elevations go from 98.89 (at a point south of the intersection) to 98.31
then 98.36 then back down to 98.26 where a new CB is proposed to be set. A constant positive slope must
be acheieved to direct flows toward the new CB.
Please resubmit 3 copies of the revised plans/documents to a Development Services Coordinator. JoAnne
