During review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information,
corrections, or clarifications are needed. Please redline plans or submit two (2) sets of revised
plans/documents (affected sheets only) with a written response to each of the above items to a
Permit Coordinator.
1) On sheet 1-1) it appears that the stairs go out farther than the site plan shows. Show actual deck
configuration including stairs on the site plan and label as existing deck to be replaced.
2) Removed decking from framing plan and show all post, beam, footing locations, etc. in order to
verify spans. Also show full length of ledger along the house.
3) Clarify stair landing on the framing plan at the top of the stairs. Is the arrow there to show one
step down and then a landing then the staircase or is the entire deck the same elevation?
Minimum 36" x 36" landing is required at the top and bottom of the stairs. Also, show handrail
on stairs or note on stair detail.
