RE: Fong Property @ 7406 160 Place Southwest, Edmonds
VIA FACSIMILE
Dear Mr. Thienes,
GARY HAAKENSON
MAYOR
In response to your letter dated May 2, 2006, hopefully your design professionals have made the
proper inquiries with the City's Building and Planning staff prior to investigating and forming
recommendations for work in the well-documented and known critical areas landslide hazard
area of North Edmonds. For copies of the Edmonds Community Development Code including
Chapters 19.10 and 23.40, please download on-line through the , City's webpage at
ci.edmonds.wa.us. After you have pulled up the City's web page, go to "Quick Links" and you
will see a drop down menu. Click on codes, ordinances, and resolutions to get the information.
Your letter indicates that a May 15th, 2006 deadline is not possible for submittal of the planting
information. The City shall therefore allow deferral of the re-vegetation/planting plan under the
grading permit. The re-vegetation/planting plan shall be submitted to the City no later than July
30, 2006. The City has established a deadline of October 1, 2006 for all plantings to be
completed. Your letter indicates this is consistent with the owner's timeline. The City still
expects the grading permit to be submitted by May 15, 2006.
Sincerely,
Jeannine L. Graf
