RE: Plan Check # 2006-0915 CCS
Project: Plumbing permit application for 3 pedicure chairs
Project Address: 8410 Main Street
In reviewing the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information, clarifications
or changes are needed. Please submit 2 sets of revised plans/documents to Marie Harrison, Permit
Coordinator.
Please have your plumber help you provide information and plans for the following comments:
1. Provide manufacturer's installation instructions for the pedicure chairs.
2. Show the water supply piping (type, size and layout) on the floor plan for both hot and cold water,
where it enters the tenant space and is run to all plumbing fixtures.
3. Reduced Pressure Backflow Assembly (RPBA) required to protect the public water system within the
tenant space. If the chairs are plumbed at the end of the water supply line, one RPBA is required
immediately before the connection of the first chair to the water supply line. If the chairs are not
plumbed at the end of the water supply line, then one RPBA is required for each chair. Show location(s)
of the RPBAs on the plumbing plan.
4. How will the water be drained from the pedicure chairs? If they are connected to the sanitary waste
system, show drain, waste, and vent piping (layout, sizing, slope, pipe material).
5. The Public Works Department is requiring premise isolation (RPBA) to protect the public water system
where the water supply line enters the tenant space. Please show this on the plan, and contact Linda
McMurphy, Cross Connection Control Specialist at 425-771-0235 if you have any questions regarding
this item.
